Clean Water Projects

Despite the fundamental role of water in human health, survival and development, one out of nine people do not have access to clean water in the world. 2.5 billion people do not have access to adequate sanitation, and every minute a child d ies from a water-related disease. Same is the case in UC Noon, Kala Shah Kaku, around Nala Dake.

There are chemical factories on both sides of Nala Dek which have been disposing waste in it for several years. Because of this, the underground water has become undrinkable. So we have decided to provide clean water in UC Noon, Kala Shah Kaku. SFF installed 6 water filtration plants to provide clean drinking water to the people of the area. These are operational in the following areas:.

  1. Ravi Rayon (Main Bazar.
  2. Village Noon
  3. Meraj Town
  4. Monnoo Abad
  5. Khori (Muridke)
  6. Ali Pur Sayeda (Narowal)

SFF spent 3 million rupees on the installation of each plant and we are bearing the running cost of electricity, plant maintenance and operator salaries every month which is Rs.70,000 on each plant.
